Review:

After the #BlogchatterA2Z challenge was over, I was finding it tough to write fresh blogs and even to read books, so basically, I was having a blogger burnout. This book broke that block for me, this book is surely a page turner. The thrill, suspense and easy read are the USP’s of the book. With the season already being hot due to the general elections this year, I knew the book is fiction but couldn’t control seeing the similarities it had with some real scenarios.

The story is around the political hullabaloo, Rajat Gandy is a young political scion, who has got things by the virtue of being born in political heavyweight family. People in the country as well as people of his own party don’t think him deserving of what he’s aspiring. The higher role. The story holds the dirty secrets in the world of politics, the links between the industrial lobbies and political parties and how media can influence and manipulate everything around.

The story travels from US to India, however the main plot is at Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh. The leading characters are Afsha Khan, a political correspondent with a leading TV news channel who finds herself embroiled in a conspiracy of devastating proportions and Sumit Anand, an officer with the Economic Offences Wing, is on the trail of an industry lobbyist who could lead him to the men behind one of the most notorious scams in the history of independent India. The story is an entertaining mix of industrial scam, religious tensions, political vendetta. All these things happen right when the elections are about to happen.

To know how Afsha lands herself into the trouble, will she be able to unfold the mystery behind the assassination, she ever gets out of this disaster?

Is sumit able to unravelling the truth behind the largest scam or will his career come to an end while trying to capture large fishes?

the mystery will be clear for you too.

I would rate this book 4.5/ 5
