Queer Death Dreams. As odd as they sound. Do you get them? Do they mean anything to you? #AtoZchallenge

Today topic is a sensitive one, hence planning to keep it short and to the point. Talking about death, experiencing death of closest people is really tough. In the current period of COVID19, life has become so uncertain. Every morning we get up to see a few thousands of people have lost their lives to the Pandemic and I am sure there are people expiring apart from Pandemic may be due to other diseases, illness or accidents. Death is as certain as birth, and we not only avoid talking about it rather we do not even want to think about it. So why do we have death dreams? what do they mean to us?

The worst side of human beings come out when one human being thinks he can control other persons life and can even kill them. Anyways, The Palghar lynching has affected me badly and fuelled my already anxious mind further. Let’s stick to the topic.

What do death dreams mean?

Dreams are a very uncommon nightmare. They can leave you anxious, worried and sad even after waking up. The more dead dreams you are getting means you are surrounded by negative people or negative influence in your life. Things and people that are working as anchors and pulling you down and won’t let you progress.

Seeing yourself dying or dead:

If you see yourself dying is a good omen. It means that you are going to get rid of some old burden and starting a new phase of life. It is also a sign of transition; it can be tough but will yield prosperous results in long run.

Seeing dead or dying Parents:

Parents are our support system. Whatever may be the situation they always stand with us. It could mean difficult times ahead. Seeing parents’ death in dreams means you feel helpless, lonely. There might be a feeling of betrayal, regret and broken relationship in waking life. That is triggering all these dreams about dying.

Seeing Both parents dying:

If you see both the parents dying it means you are being betrayed in waking life. You have no one to speak to or no one you can rely and trust. You need a true companion, who can guide you through this difficult phase of life.

Death Dreams about your Pet:

Pets are nothing but family members. Unless I had one, I used to find it weird when pet parents used to introduce me to their pets saying, “say hello to Ujjwal did, milo”. After having one now I completely understand the psychology behind it and in fact I accept it.  Pet animals have shorter life as compared to humans, hence we anyways have to go through the pain of loosing them in waking life, so how is it to go through the same pain in dreams.

These dreams might be disturbing but the meaning is simple, every pet has a unique quality. Like dog is loyal, can is feminine, and parrot means communication. Seeing the pet die is losing your control over this one characteristic. Like seeing a dog die might mean you will be betrayed by someone, dying parrot means there will be miss communication and it will lead to misunderstanding or even fights,

When you see a Murder:

Killing someone is the worst human act. We are no God. I always remember story of Lord Buddha and angulimaal.

Angulimaal was a dacoit who used to kill people and as a trophy would cut their little finger and add it into a necklace around his neck, that’s why he was named angulimaal. Once he crossed roads with Lord buddha and started boasting about his skill of killing people. Buddha asked him to pluck a leaf of a plan nearby. Angulimaal did it with a flash. Then buddha asked him to join it back from where he plucked it. The puzzled angulimaal knew he couldn’t do it. That is when buddha told him, similarly he cannot give life back to the people he kills. So how can he take away something which he cannot give back.  After that angulimaal gave up killing and became a monk.

When you see dreams about murder it means you have suppressed feeling.  aggression, addiction

You are murderer:

Means you are going to end an old tradition, or you want to stop something that’s been going on since ages.  It can also mean you are trying to get rid of an addiction and trying to kill it.

You might be having some Guilt of past deeds. And want to cut it loose.

You are Being murdered:

It means that you have pent up emotions and have aggression towards something that you are unable to went out. The person who is killing you might have some serious issues with you in waking life.

Murders is a detailed topic, as the interpretation also depends on the weapon used to murder and so on.

Have you ever had a dream about jail? yes, its a place no one wants to land in. What does it mean to see jail in your dream? or being in jail?

As far as an interesting watch to fight lock down blues it a series called Quantico. Yet the one with Priyanka Chopra as the lead. I have watched the first season; however, the second season couldn’t keep me glued. If you are wondering if this is a real place? Yes, Quantico is in Virginia and has HQ for FBI academy, marine cops and many agencies alike.

Enjoy your days. It will be easy to live if we do not consider this lockdown as punishment rather as a treat, we already wanted to enjoy then it will make our life easy.

It all sounds very sinister! I have never dreamt of death but sometimes I dream of friends of mine who have died or my grandparents who are no longer alive. What does that mean?

Death dreams are probably the most jolting. I did have them for awhile when my life was very unsettled.

Death dreams i would say are the most scary because they leave you feeling helpless. But they all have a meaning and may be a way to tell us what will happen. A great post as always

I am not so interested in such talks as I really don’t believe in death dreams

I have seen my mom’s death…I felt so horrible that day…I wasn’t sure how to react…I read somewhere that it ties to the fact that you want to care about your parent but since you are not able to…you see them die in your dream…

Mmmm I rarely get dreams and death dreams are even rarer. But I used to get dreams where I’m leaving my baby somewhere and the other one is with me. Lol.

I have had death dreams a number of time and I felt evry disturbed that time. I had read somewhere that a death of close family means that person will live a longer life so I use to coax my mind to believe that and feel good the next day. I just loved reading this. Would love to know what does death of a friend mean.

Yes death in dreams is always scary. I had experience that emotions in past few times and had many questions regarding that. Now after reading your post got the answers of all. Yes I agree that these kind of dreams usually have an association with negative or helpless feeling in our real life.

Thats a lovely post. It gave a new perspective to understanding the aftermath of dreams and their interpretation. I found it highly amusing.

  19. LifeCoachPreet

I have always been scared of such dreams. As much as they break me, I realise soon enough that they are just dreams that hold no significance in my life. The meanings you shared are quite interesting. This will help decode my dreams in future.
