I personally believe in this theory, that accepting your emotions and allowing yourself to process the emotional suffering help in cope with the stress and turbulence and manage the situation with courage, calmness and resilience. I loved the story and it depicts a true situation of women. Glad that you chose a relevant topic and wrote such a beautiful short story.
So true….nobody’s life is perfect. And we cannot appreciate happiness if we have not been through problems. I never ask Him, why me. My prayer of gratitude starts with..I am grateful for the roof over my head and the food on my plate! Millions don’t have that. My glass is half full not half empty and I want it to overflow so that I can help others.
Self acceptance is the primary step into self love and self growth. Once if we learn to divert our emotions as a stepping stone. The moral of the story is ever relevant but what held my attention is your narration. Very crisp and neat. It gives me pleasure
Thanks Rakhi. Glad you liked it.
Ek Aag ka Dariya Hai aur doob ke Jaana hai !
However fearful the future may look, how dreadful the present is, the only way to survive it is to live through it. As you said it so well Ujjwal – Embrace the roller coaster of Emotions!
Emotional wellness is complex. While we know what’s happening, we cannot seem to control it. It needs a lot of self-awareness, inward-looking and practice to strike the right balance.
Emotional wellness is a journey which need to experience several ups and downs …. just the way Smita experienced a roller coaster ride in this beautifully penned story of yours Ujjwala. What that is important is that we have self awareness and the spirit to never stop and keep going in life with positivity. Acceptance in life is very important … if there is success , failure can also be there. The moment we start learning from our failures that moment only we start penning the saga of our emotional well being.
Acceptance is the key to so many things. Many of us live in denial because of our ego, society, etc that we fail to see how it affects us in the long run.
We should accept what life throws at us with open arms. Gloomy days are followed by bright sunlight and spring does not stay forever. This is the secret to staying happy and content.
Smita’s story truly teaches us that acceptance is the first step. In this short and simple story you have shared a very impactful message because if you see, people do not accept things. They might have there reasons but yes acceptance helps you emotionally and mentally.
What a beautiful way of accepting the roller coaster of emotions. I liked your story, I liked the way Smita matured and accepted the flow of life. Nothing ever remains the same, so we must accept each situation as it comes.
We all experience our emotional rollercoasters, and Smita’s experience reminds us that it’s not about avoiding the ride, but rather, enjoying it and finding strength in every twist and turn. Embracing our emotions and using them as stepping stones for personal growth is the key to a fulfilling life. Thanks for sharing this inspiring narrative.
I enjoyed reading your story – how beautifully you have explained the concept. Emotions are to be experienced. Everyone wants to remain happy and joyful and tries to suppress sadness or fear. It’s this suppression that has the potential to cause physical suffering. If we allow ourselves to experience the emotions that flow through us we have understood how to live our lives.
I firmly believe courage is not the absence of fear but moving forward despite it. Life will throw us curveballs with hills and valleys. Our emotions do tend to get the better of us but being aware and having the courage to channel these emotions sets us on the path of success. You have explained it so well through the story.
Beautiful story. Life is all about highs and lows and we have to accept it. That helps navigate life, we embrace all emotions we feel and that makes it easier to accept the challenges life throws at us.
Accepting our emotions, both positive and negative, is the first step towards understanding and handling them better. I’m glad despite her nervousness Smita went ahead and did her best. What would life be without it’s highs and lows, right? They make it all the more interesting.
Beautiful story that is very much relatable with a great message that acceptance is the greatest asset that one should practise for a smooth and happy life. Life is not a smooth sail and one should stay positive and emotionally strong to face evey situation in life.
This beautifully crafted story resonates deeply, capturing the essence of the human experience. Smita’s journey on the emotional rollercoaster is both relatable and inspiring, reminding us that life’s twists and turns shape our resilience and inner strength. Embracing the highs and lows as part of our unique story is a powerful lesson, teaching us that true emotional wellness lies in acceptance and growth.
Smita’s life story is an echo of all of our live stories. This ebb and flow of emotion is what we all live with on a daily basis and you have captured and described it well in your short story.
I strongly agree with the idea that embracing your feelings and allowing yourself to process them can help you handle stress and turbulence and handle the issue with bravery, composure, and resilience.
Accepting what life brings us is a great step. Handling lows and highs will definitely help . Smitas life is what most of us would resonate to.
Very beautifully weaved ujjwal and yes life is always a sinusoidal wave the sooner we learn to ride it the better it is, loved the lesson here.
Chasing perfection is like grabbing your shadow. It isn’t really a possible mechanism. Wonderful read!
This is the story of basically most of us, our own worries sometimes outweigh hope and tend to make us worry and doubt. Indeed, if we can aware that it a wave and it too shall pass, we can have more peace of mind as we wait.
while accepting the turmoil is hard,it remains a hard battle. a lonely journey. i agree how the cycle begins again is something you have witten about but its tough.
I truly agree with this post and the story of Smita that acceptance is the key to getting over the emotional turmoil of life. Denial leads to the worsening of the situation over a period of time. I have seen this up and close with someone very close to me. Finding your own ways to deal with the situation and at times consulting with an expert is the best solution.
