Happy Engineer’s day to all the readers. I am sure you are aware that we celebrate this day to pay our respects to the great son of India & a world-renowned engineer, Bharat Ratna M. Visvesvaraya on his birth anniversary.
Engineering is one field of education, which can give you employment in any field. Really, I am not joking. You can find a RJ is an engineer, a professional dancer as an engineer. A Shop-owner, A BPO executive, A Human resource professional, a Marketing guy, a Sales Specialist so on and so forth. Engineering prepares you to face life as it comes your way. I will say, one day at a time. For 4yrs which are divided into 8 semesters, we know by studying how much and what will “take our nayya paar”.
Thanks to Blogchatter that the #MyFriendAlexa challenge begun on Engineer’s day. It doubled the motivation to restart my blogging career. It kind of challenged the sleeping engineer inside me; we are used to of covering the entire exam syllabus during preparation Leave (PL).
Why I say restart my blogging journey? Because this is the longest break I have taken ever since I started writing 5yrs ago. I was quite regular and pumped up with the Alexa rank, collaboration, TBRChallenge of blogchatter, increasing DA of my blog site. It was the #blogchatterA2Z challenege, I was writing a fiction called “A story about magic”. I wrote till letter Q And then on Ramnavmi “Covid happened”. I fell sick. Thanks to relentless efforts by my husband that I could isolate myself completely.
I came out of isolation on 12th day of quarantine, because the mother inside me had decided to revolt as my son’s birthday was in 2 days. More than a mom, now I think it was the engineer inside me, which again wanted to take up this challenge and come out of snooze. Just then my husband started showing symptoms and had to put him in Isolation, but by God’s grace it was a false Alarm.
Then a series of challenges started coming like hurdles race. My in-laws fell sick, their car met with an accident, then my mom fell sick the series of “got away with just a scratch” scenarios continued till July 2021.
Did I tell you I left my fulltime job in May 2018 to get full-time into writing? Initially it was all fun, but later I started feeling stagnated. Will surely comeback with this part of story in the next post. So the point here is, finally in Feb 2021 I joined back work. The office folks cooperated very well during this bad patch, but then it was time to return the favour. The covid recovery and pressure of the new job took away all my time and more than that mental space to sit quietly to write.
Since 20th April 2021, this is my first post. Thanks to the never say die attitude of engineers that I am back on the journey. When I write this, I am very happy with myself. May the passion stay and I finish what I have started. Happy Engineer’s day!!!
I have engineer all around me and agree that engineering priestess them for all the hardships as well as challenges. But this is equally true for other stream too. Would love to know more about your journey.
